May is Celiac Awareness Month! I've been MIA here on the blog since we changed the clocks. If you wonder where a blogger goes when she goes "radio silent" for awhile, in my case, I'm doing similar work for my Day Job! As Director of Communications and New Media for Beyond Celiac, much of what I do for my work I used to do (albeit in a much less formal way) on my website and blog.
For this May, I invite you to check out all the work that my fabulous Communications Team coworkers Alicia, Janet and Sarah and I have put together for the community to help raise awareness about celiac disease. Big thanks to my bosses too, Jenn and Alice, for seeing the vision of what we wanted to create for Celiac Awareness Month this year and supporting it. And to the rest of the team for assisting with ideas, content, video crewing, snacks and so much more. And for all the folks who helped along the way: Laurie Baxendell, Hedy Sirico, Melody and Cinema Quilt and all the volunteers that Melody recruited, Zach, Jeff, Debra, Molly, Priyanka, Drew Raison and Philly Sound Studios, Jenn Raison, Scott Raison (okay, no one said I couldn't recruit my family!), Kim's friend who's name I will remember soon... I know I've forgotten people, so I'll just keep building this list. Bottom line? Check out www.BeyondCeliac.org/awarenessmonth. Take #60forCeliac -- it only takes a minute to check out the materials. Share with your friends and family. The point of Celiac Awareness Month is to do just that -- raise awareness that is easy and fast for you. We hope we've given you the stuff that is easily shareable, stands alone as an awareness builder, and that can also be the starting point of a conversation. |
